Rebel Fleet Crushed

The rebels sent me their WOOFIEST player tonight, but I crushed him 6-0,6-2. The best part was hearing that other Flex players have spoken quite highly of me. Translation: I'm the league's BADASS. :) I rule the Flex League galaxy.

This marks the second straight season I have gone undefeated in league play. Of course, come playoff time, I have yet to win the Championship. Last season, a punk-ass 26 year old beat me in the Finals. Grrr.... it pisses me off I am the Susan Lucci of the goddamn tennis world.

You can be sure my laser cannon will be fully operational in time for the playoffs. I am playing well nowadays, so foes had best be ready!

You should lose to Nawazuddin Khaja. He is a computer rated 3.5 and you are just a 3.0...muhawhahaaha. Hopefully you will finally get a title in this year's flex league...if not, there is always Biloxi.

I think it's interesting that whenever you write provocative posts designed to boost your "hits" and volume of comments and mention on other peoples' blogs (not even getting that the Blogosphere as you know it is slowly fading into irrelevancy and attracting fewer and fewer readers), you then always follow up with a series of rapid posts that seem to be designed to get people off your case. In my opinion your biggest problem (ie what causes you the most grief) isn't self-loathing. It's vanity and a need to be liked, popular, etc. Why the fuck do you care so much if people disagree with you or attack you for your 'beliefs'? When you defend and rationalize and argue and 'fight back', Brett, you come across not like a fighting man, but instead like a hurt little boy biting his lip to keep from crying. If being liked and being popular are so important to you then there are more effective approaches than the ones you seem to have adapted for yourself. Try a little (genuine) humility, self-respect and interest in something besides yourself. Not only will you feel better about yourself, but you'll be happier, respected by others instead of a cartoon character and maybe even snare this elusive boyfriend you claim not to care about but so obviously crave. You seem like a decent guy under all your predictable and tiresome bravado. Let out the real you and you'll find you won't have to fight so hard--what you want will just come to you.
