WOOF Pack

Are you a gay man living in your very own WOOF pack? Do you share the same den? Are you a happy WOOF pack? Do things get dicey when there is competition for meat?

I am asking you this because I am trying to understand the dynamics of gay men and their brethren. Can there truly be harmony in a WOOF pack? Does nature dictate that fights for dominance must routinely occur for survivial of the WOOF pack?

Let's say you share mutual hunting grounds. You find some meat. The WOOF pack leader wants that meat. You ain't giving up that meat without a fight. You gnash teeth, growl and bristle fur at each other.

Being the younger WOOF, you ain't about to rollover, whimper and submit to an ornery old WOOF. You can either kill him (not really!), make peace or leave the pack...

Am I the only one who thinks gay men often live in their own WOOF packs?

why don't you just strike a middle ground and share the meat? That's always fun!

I am so confused, are you the younger or older wolf? LOL. I don't usually go for the same type as those I "prowl" with. We all have different tastes, and our own looks vary enough that very rarely do we have the same prey. It has happened, and sometimes it's fun to gang up instead of compete. *EG*

My group is so varied in taste, that it's rare we can't all find something, but sometimes, we get pack mentality and gang up on some prey! WOOF!

RULE NO. 1 IN THE GAY HANDBOOK: Never, ever hang with guys with the same taste in men as you.

Trust me, it never ends well. I'm old and I still regret all those tricks I threw over because I thought it was the right thing to do. You're not getting any younger so strike while the iron is hot. A good conscience never gets your rocks off. Twenty years from now your friends will have moved on, but you'll still be wondering "what if".

I my freinds and I go out hunting. It depends on who wants what. The pack trys to make eeryone happy. I normally just go to the restroom and let others eat my meat. While the packs stays out and let me have fun. I would say I am sorta an Alpha Male.

I have no idea what all that garble means. What I'm assuming it means is your quest to balance your sense of self with a sense of belonging. From my own experiences you need a strong sense of self to effectually belong to anything.

For what it's worth: Ten years from now, when you look back on a night that one of your friends went after the same guy as you did, and he tricked with him... would you be more upset that you lost out on a trick, or that you lost a friend over a trick?

Perspective helps.
