Beard Issues

My beard is quite bushy now. Sometimes I really like it, but other times I don't. With gray hairs splashed here and there on my chin and face, I fear I look old. Trimming those tell tale signs right out my beard must be done on a daily basis.

The downside to having a beard is that the scruffier look hides my trademark youthful innocence and purity. My friends ask, "Where oh where has the sweet-as-pie Brett gone?" I reply back, "I kicked his ass to the curb! Grr..."

With the rugged "Daddy" look going on, I can admit that my beard has given me a sense of empowerment. I have become much more aggressive. It is now not uncommon for me to bark orders at others and subject them to my will.

This is my quandary: do I stay in a MASC/BUTCH mode where I may kick your ass or do I go back to my sweet, innocent, and youthful former self? Hmm...

To say that you fear looking old because of a few gray hairs paints many of your friends/readers/hate mongers in a really bad light. We're ahead of you in the gray game!

I prefer the innocent, and youthful former self when you had a nicely trimmed beard. Just my preference in all men though.

I personally dig Wookie Bush. I realize that term is generally used to describe your knock knock...but I dig it on the face too. I also like a lot of salt and pepper on my taters. So keep on keeping on. You look perfectly fine in my very old eyes.

" sweet, innocent, and youthful former self"

now if you're really honest with yourself, is this really even an option anymore?

as my friends say "your age, like your waistline will never be 30 again."

Go for the beard in all it's naturalness! For the first time in my life I let mine grow to 4 inches (and still growing) it's been fun.
And as for the grey, hey its no biggie, now grey pubes thats another issue, I am stocking up on tweezers for that myself!

Love the Blog BTW

Not going to matter one bit when I kick your ass on the tennis court. You know our wager and what you get when you lose. However, you need all the help you can get and would strongly encourage you to keep the beard and aggressiveness.

Granted, facial hair does make a guy look older and in your case it takes away from your great smile. On the otherhand, it also adds a few degrees of hotness to your already smoldering bad self. But I wonder if that is really gray hair or just dried semen? I'd have to kiss you to know for sure.

This picture was taken a couple weeks ago. My beard is actually bushier! My secretaries told me before I left work today to PLEASE shave the beard. They don't like it one bit.

I join the chorus line in voting to keep the beard!
Whiskers make men look soo much better!
but I am not objective on the topic.

If you want to commiserate, I recently wrote about gray hairs so you are not alone on this topic.

You're not even 40 yet son! Keep your youthful appearance for as long as you can. You're not old enough to be a daddy yet, but I like the beard tho...

I've embraced my "daddiness", finally!

For what it's worth, if you recall, I told you to grow this fifteen years ago. It suits you even more now.

Leave the beard - the bushier the better. Who cares what the WOMEN in your office think - it's not meant for them anyway.

Embrace the gray - you're only going to get more. And for the record, in gay years, you're already old.

But then again, in gay years, I'm dead.
