Mike the Tiger VI Debuts at LSU vs. FLORIDA Game on Saturday!

Mike the Tiger VI will march down the Hill with the LSU Golden Band for Tigerland. He'll be paraded around Tiger Stadium before kickoff during a special ceremony. Yeah, fuck you PETA! The fans of the #1 ranked LSU Tigers willl be STOKED big time. Poor Florida. Smells like a second straight loss coming your way by another "Tigers" team. ;)

Once again Brett, I wonder whether you care about that tiger. In their native habitat tigers are solitary, shy animals. Because of poaching and environmental destriction, all species of tigers are endangered. "Mike" is going to be exposed to unusual smells and sounds every time he is carted to a football game. According to his official website, LSU had to install fine mesh fencing to prevent visitors from throwing trash into his enclosure. It just sounds like a miserable life for that animal.

Homer... I disagree. Mike's home is the finest palace a Tiger has ever had. It has a waterfall, a lake, grass, trees, and shading. He is an instant celebrity loved by many LSU alumni. He represents Louisiana State University. Our University helps honor such a majestic animal.

Mike's home is but a skip across the street from Tiger Stadium. He has been exposed to "unusual" smells and sounds for the past month or so, not to mention the smells and sounds from the tailgaters around the area on game day.

Plus, this Mike has lived in captivity all his life. The home he has now -- with a lake, grass and trees -- is much better than the concrete-floored home he came from.

GEAUX TIGERS!

I hate to jump a bandwagon here...but Homer and PETA are right, and i"m not just saying this because I'm an Auburn fan, but it's really hard on the animal, and its not like LSU football fans need an actual Tiger to show force, or strength. Just think of all the university could do for the species if the money they spent on the tiger palace was actually put into saving tigers and to stop poaching of animals. That would be honoring such a magestic animal. He is seperated from his natural habitat and no palace can replace that ever.
Regardless, I hope LSU beats Florida this weekend...I hate the Gators! And good luck on your tennis match on Saturday!

If you saw Mike The Tiger's habitat, you would both agree with me. They have a much nicer place, than what even Siefried and Roy have there white Bengal Tigers.

Besides, with the protection from the habitat, Mike VI wont be hunted or killed by humans or other animals. We are helping to save him.
