Thanks America!

Democracy has won out. We Americans have taken back our country from the Republican fat cats that have overindulged in enriching themselves at the expense of everything else. I cannot believe Democrats are about to have majorities in the House of Representatives AND the U.S. Senate. I have been disappointed too many times by the Karl Rove Republican machine. I am glad Americans finally got tired of the Rove/Bush Act that never quite produced on any promises. I am thrilled that Nancy Pelosi will now be the Speaker of the House. Hmmm... if the Democrats do have the majority in the Senate... who will lead us there?

Oh... Homer... with my mouth... I would get in trouble on a daily basis. Remember... PARTISAN partnership is the keyword of the day. Brett as speaker would be too much of a firebrand!

Brett, don't sell yourself short; honesty is one of your strong points and that has been missing in action in Washington for a while.

And have you noticed that the Republicans are talking "Bipartisan" now.

If the Senate gets a Democrat "majority"... it will be Sen. Joe Biden who would become chief speaker.

Now for a scare factor:

Speaker Pelosi is only two heartbeats away from being President Pelosi.

Yet I do not think that any impeachment attempts will gain any serious ground.

Yes, the people have finally woken up from their comas and admit what messed up path the current administration has taken us. There's a lot to clean up, but at least we now have people in office who are willing to admit the problems and not brush them under the rug.

You said it brother. While I think Nanci is too far left to every be a serious contender for the precidency, I am happy she is to be the first Speaker of the House. A very powerful position.

The Dems still have a lot of work cut out for them. Let us hope they don't squander it.
