Counter Measures Initiated
Well, it has finally happened to me. Some person made comments yesterday (I deleted them) where I work, my father's name, slams against me and poking fun at some of my blogger friends who I met in SF. They are obviously so jealous and insecure, that they have to make cowardly comments while hiding their identity to try to pop my bubble. Well, it aint working!
Since the fuckhead is obviously a spineless little worm, I have taken the following counter measures in response to such cowardice. I now have Sitemeter Plus. I can track down every single IP address that views my blog. In addition, I have restricted who can comment on my blog to ONLY fellow bloggers. This will be in place for the timebeing. The next step would be to allow only comments I approve of before they are posted.
You still want to fuck with me? FYI: I am out to all my co-workers and my family. Everyone in my community knows I am GAY. No one cares. We are fun loving Catholic people in S. Louisiana. There is nothing I post on my blog that I would be embarrassed about my family seeing. Got it?
By the way, I think I know who this WORM is. I am already rolling up my sleeves with a can of whoopass in my hands ready to pounce. Watch out you wormie spineless bastard!

That's majorly shitty. I've teased in comments, but posting personal information can open you up to all sorts of fraud problems, not just some sort of "loss of reputation". As you said in your post, maybe this person doesn't realize how out you really are. Actually, I just went to a seminar on bankruptcy, and you would be shocked how frequently your information is stolen. You are very wise to be cautious. Hopefully everything will clear up soon.
It's a damn shame that one a$$hole had to f**k it up for those of us who look forward to reading and commenting on your blog...
It's sad that one asshole can cause a person to resort to this. Having comments can open up a world of love and hate at the same time.
People are just stupid. It's why I'll always have a job.

I'm, somewhat thankful, my blog isn't popular, no lunes to date, knock on my wooden head.
I think it really sucks for someone like me who reads your blog everyday, but I do not have one of my own. Now knowing I will not be able to post my comments really sucks. Oh well, I will just give you my comments in a different way for the time being. Just know that I am still one of your faithful readers and always will be.
As for the prick that screwed it up for the rest of us, get a grip asswipe and a life of your own. If you focused more on your own insecurities, you would not have time to jerk with someone else! I can tell you from personal knowledge, this man you just screwed with has more class in his little finger than you do in your entire body you worthless piece of shit!
If you have a sense of humor and can handle the crap and able to sling it back thats ok but when someone can make very personal remarks about you and your family that's a whole other story there. Obviously there is some envy in this "worm's". They just don't understand what makes people happy.

I had my "go around" with a psychotic fucktard - so I, like you, took matters into my own hands. I blocked it so that only Registered Users could post comments. Come to find out - he was one - just with no blog - merely a name.
So then I had to resort to Moderating all the comments. That's a huge pain in the ass - but it keeps The Asshole from ever making a rude and unncessary comment on All Prep and No H.
What an idiot this guy was. Thanks to him he put me inn the same postion as Deanos.

I've said it before, I'll say it again. Why can't people just be nice? I don't believe that anyone is 'bad' just often confused -- sometimes that theory is pushed to the limits.
Sorry to hear about this problem.
Do what you need to do. I'd be happy to join the "whoopass" posse. And I do have resources that are not available to the general public.

I downloaded the site meter a while ago to protect myself against harassment such as you've encountered.
Although I've never had to use it, I like knowing that I can if the need arises.
You've got a great group of friends here... don't let one asshole ruin everything that you've accomplished with this blog!
