Feels so good....
Last night I tucked Boudreaux between my left arm and my body, then I tucked Jean Pierre in my right arm next to my body. It felt so good to have my two cherished dogs sleeping next to me. I woke up this morning and they were still sound asleep in Daddies arms. Awww.... feels so good.
I had the urge to skip the gym, but I decided that 25 minutes was enough to have a good workout. Sure enough, I completed 5 different exercises. I went up on the pec dec from 180#'s to 200#'s. This was the first time I have ever done this much weight on the pec deck machine. I patted myself on the back. I did dips slow and all the way from the floor to the very top. I could feel a nice stretch in my back muscles. I left the gym this morning feeling good.
I am on the way to feeling good. Just me and my Dachshunds are all I really need. When they are in my arms, I don't have to worry about work or any of the day's stresses. It is all about a man and his best friends being there for each other and loving unconditionally.

Sometimes Casey will sleep like that with me. A couple of times I've woken up to find her sprawled on my chest with one arm wrapped around her, like a little living breathing teddy bear.
It's such a warm feeling.
The work out sounded good. Wish my own last night had left me feeling as pumped, rather I felt like I barely survived.

I understand completely what you are saying. Both my dogs sleep with me, which makes it a bit awkward when I have an "overnight gues". Which is one reason why as my two sexcapade blog entries indicate... party time is usually outside in the Gazebo! (or in New Orleans)

My dogs give me comfort when I least expect it. It's like they know when it's needed. My dogs are 10, 8, and 2 years old. The youngest (Corey the Cairn Terrier)has this special intuition and comes up by me and ever-so-slightly touches her nose to my cheek. It's the funniest thing. I kiss her back on the side of her head, and she'll walk away.
Ok...the non-dog-lovers out there are thinking I'm way over the edge now.

We have a Dachsund (Peanut) and a Bishon Frise (Max) and they sleep with Joel all night and then sleep with me all day. They have to be touching me and Peanut will deliberately crawl between us and nuzzle down until she is wedged between Joel and I 9the few times we get to sleep the same hours).

Well she's mostly my wife's dog really... but still.
