Evil Twin vs. Good Twin
I can't blog about this tennis tournament. My twin brother has lost some poundage, and has apparently been getting excellent tennis lessons. He returned about 95% of my slams across the net. WHO IS THIS GUY?!?! No more sending swift shots across the courts to make "Fatty" run. He was getting everything I threw at him! We were mirror images of each other slugging it out for every point. I won the first set 6-4. Then my brother won 6-0 on the second set. We never played the third set because we were too exhausted from the unforgiving SUN and playing our mirror images. The end result was that my twin brother had won 4 more games than I did. He gloated. My father called me the next day to rib me about it. Grrrr.....

Notice how in the first picture, I am actually in the air! That is like a NO NO. I should have backed up and hit the ball with two feet on the ground. I included that picture because it looked interesting. Tim from Houston would fuss at me for that one! What can I say? When I am on the tennis courts, I am fiercely competitive. Sometimes good technique goes out the window for the drive to crush your opponent. In this case, the opponent is my twin brother.

My twin brother is not gay. He dips Skoal and thinks Dubya and Rush are the coolest. He is homophobic though. The fact that I am gay has obviously caused him some discomfort. Like, he cannot go to a gym and change in front of others (cause God forbid other men may see his woohoo). Also, he tensed up a few months ago when my gay tennis coach was positioning his hands for the proper way to hold a racquet.
brett that is really interesting. i'm sure your brother has a lot of deep-rooted issues because of your identical genes. I wonder if that only strengthens his resolve to believe that being gay is a choice (does he believe that?)
I believe he realizes that it is hereditary. He probably FREAKS because we are twins. So, if he ever got curious about a guy, or looked at a guy and felt that he was attractive... he is going to have to deal with "Am I gay too?" So, I am sure it is not easy on him. But my brother is pretty cool. He has met most of my gay friends, we play poker together sometimes or tennis, and he is cool with the fact that I am gay.
